That ~so happy but so tired I can hardly keep my eyes open~ look 🤣🤣🤣 I touched on this a bit in today’s post, but I struggled a lot this week with feelings of overwhelm. Wednesday night I was about ready to chuck my phone across the room because I was so tired of all the buzzing & chiming 🤭🤷🏼‍♀️ Anyone else able to relate? I KNOW my trigger is not getting enough quiet time & time by myself, but sometimes it seems impossible to get that. I strive to be a good steward of my time, but shooooot, it’s hard!! 😱 I love my posts on Friday because I have an excuse to reflect &write about little things that brought me joy during the week, sit back & admire how the Lord continues to work in such beautiful ways in my life & share it all with y’all! 🥰 Thanks for choosing to let me be a part of YOUR life in some small way 😘

A year ago I was in such a bad place. Physically. Mentally. #ppd was kicking my booty big time. I was so overwhelmed I could barely function. I cried all the time. I yelled and screamed. I was even better at hiding it in public but the people around me suffered the most. Until one day I decided to make a change. I decided to stop focusing on everyone else’s oxygen mask and secure mine FIRST. I started going back to yoga and training clients. I started making space for new friends. I started reading books that spoke to my soul. I started meditating again and I started praying. Praying really hard. Daily. I started utilizing the Selfish Mom Love Languages daily in my life and today I’m happy to report I’m no longer in that dark place. Because I take care of me. Am I still exhausted and some days overwhelmed!? Absolutely but I now know the tools I need to take care of myself first (family second). YOU ARE THE ONLY PERSON WHO CAN GIVE YOUR KIDS A HAPPY MOM! My door is always open for anyone struggling or even just having a bad day or a season of suck. Never feel ashamed. And if you want to join a rad group of moms to love you forever I’ll add the Selfish Mom Movement Page to the comments. We would love to have you 💕

When I graduated with my business degree I would often struggle with the conflicting desire of being in full-time ministry and having a full-time career. But over the years, God has shown me how I can do both—through marketplace ministry. To read more about bridging the gap between the church and the marketplace, read my latest faith blog on my website! Link in bio! 💕💖 (New Headshot by the FABULOUS @nicollettemollet) ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ #GodFirst #focusonhim #KingdomBusiness #blessed #seekhim #Dallas #EquippedByFaith #thankyoujesus #DFW #influence #worship #Devotional #blessedtobeablessing #uplift #holyspirit #trustgod #inspiration #gratitude #love #dallasbiblestudy #giveback #womensbiblestudydallas #womensbiblestudy

Perfect timing to talk about this book (Leadership the Eleanor Roosevelt Way) with all the elections going on. Although we didn’t win Senate it’s okay we got the House. Let’s stay positive and be very proud of ourselves for getting out there to vote. . . In honor of Eleanor Roosevelt’s death I read the book Leadership the Eleanor Roosevelt Way Book and just a little FYI her husband, President Franklin D Roosevelt was the longest serving President, he served 4 terms of presidency. After him they changed the laws for Presidents to only serve max 2 terms. Mrs. Roosevelt was impactful and made huge changes as a First Lady. . . She taught me leadership, perseverance, patience, intelligence and so much more. Very inspiring and encouraging, definitely a must read book for any woman. . . . #eleanorroosevelt #dallasinfluencer #bookstagram #bookworm #booklover #bookaholic #bookblog #bookgram #bookblogger #booklife #dfwmom #momoftwo #lovetoread #mominthecity #dfwinfluencer #dallastexas #latinablogger #latina #lifestyleblogger #lifestyle #lifestyleguide #lifestyler #lifestyleblog #latinamom #govote #influencetheelection #midtermelections #voteforchange #voteforchange2018 #everyvotecounts

Addiction/Alcoholism is the only disease that tells us and tries to convince us that we do not have a disease. Putting down the drink is the easy part but the psychological mind games are a whole different story. My first attempt at sobriety I was able to put down the drink (momentarily) but I was in a 24/7 battle with my mind and thoughts. I relapsed. It took many failed attempts before I was able to beat the psychological demon. I am absolutely convinced that I have a disease and I will always have a disease. This didn't come over night, this total convincing came 6 months into sobriety. That is when freedom set in. Always remember that everyone's story is different everyone's timeline is different. I only state mine to let people know you aren't alone in your feelings and there are people who have gone through exactly what you are feeling right now. Much love!!! // my outfit details are linked on the blog- click the link in my bio 😘💗
