Conversations with the Inspiring Tiffany Hill

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Hill.

Tiffany, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I became a mother at 16, one year for my daughter’s birthday I wanted her to have a pretty tutu but I didn’t wanna pay someone to make it, so I decided to make my own. One post on Facebook with a caption “tutu made by me” and the tutu business started from there. I took a long break at the beginning of 2013 due to a difficult pregnancy and birth of my second child. During that time period, I decided I wanted to do more than just tutus. Once I got my mojo back I started doing custom tees, denim, and party decor.

Has it been a smooth road?
It’s definitely hasn’t been a smooth road and it still a rocky one. I have so many early mornings and sleepless nights. I’m one person doing 10-40 orders a week alone and still being a full-time mom. It gets very overwhelming but I’m still learning how to juggle being a MOMpreneur

My advice to other young women is have faith in your journey. Stay positive, work hard, and make your dream a reality

Alright – so let’s talk business. What else should we know about your work?
I make Fabulous tutus, custom shirts for any occasion, custom denim, party decor and bedazzled shoes. At first, I was known as the “TutuLady” then my shirt business hit off very well and now I’m not as the “TShirt Girl”. I’m most proud about the smiles I put on my customer’s faces especially the kids, when I see that I feel accomplished, I did what I was supposed to do and I love that. What sets me apart from others is my creativity. When you ordering from don’t expect anything basic, I don’t do basic. I also don’t make the same thing twice, no kid has the same shirt or outfit. If it’s the same theme I will tweak it so it doesn’t look like the next child’s, your outfit is your outfit.

Looking back on your childhood, what experiences do you feel played an important role in shaping the person you grew up to be?
Everyone in my family are hard workers so it’s definitely in my blood.
