Exploring Life & Business with Leigh Ann Hindman of The Hindman Creation

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leigh Ann Hindman.

Hi Leigh Ann, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I had the idea to start my small business in January of 2021 but did not get started until March of 2021. I had purchased all my things but my mom passed away due to Covid and I had just lost my grandma on Christmas Eve which is also my daughter’s birthday.

So I put things on hold and I almost didn’t go through with it but something in my head said no you need to do this. I stayed up many nights thinking of ways I could support my girls and not leave them with someone else. I didn’t have my mom anymore and I lost my dad in 2017; it’s been a rough road but I knew I had to pull myself out of it. I started with a Cricut and wanting to make flowers frames for special family occasions and other personalized things but as I kept looking around and nonstop thinking I stumbled upon freshies, I thought to myself why not let’s try. It was a success I love to make all the different colors, shapes and sizes just come to life! The smells are so full and just change your mood. I have also added more things to my shop. I have vent clips and personalized milk cartons that look like water bottles. I have keychains and hopefully soon some more new things; keep your fingers crossed. I make a lot of my freshies inspired by people around me for different reasons. Family means more to me than anything that’s why it’s so important to me. I named my business The Hindman Creation after both of my parents because without them pushing me to be anything I wanted to be and always tell me they were proud of me and how much they loved me even when I wanted to give up, they never let me they always made me get back up and stand on my own two feet that’s why I named myself this after them the strong leaders in my life and I will keep doing my small business and show my daughters the same thing my parents did for me. I am a full-time mom and also do my small business I wouldn’t trade it for the world because my girls are what keeps me going and this is who I do it for

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Everyone has struggles mine are juggling being a full-time mom and having a small business but it works for me and my girls; they love to help me and are my supporters in the background. I have my extra family to help guide me in the right direction and keep pushing me.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Hindman Creation?
Something I want people to know about me is with my freshies and other crafts I offer, I try my best to make your visions come true to exactly how you want them done. I get invested in your designs. They come from the heart and made with love from me and all my little helpers each other has some of my kids in it, haha.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
