Meet Aaron Zack of Revolving Mind Media in Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Zack.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Starting off at the age of 11, I have had a marketing and sales mindset. I started working in the retail industry at my father’s clothing store and has only taken off since then. I went to the University of Texas at Austin and studied Sports Management and Business. While in school, I started working for the 2nd largest NFL agency in the southwest based in Dallas, Texas. I moved from an intern to Events Manager to Events and Marketing Manager. I was running two of the three divisions within the agency by the time I was 22. I completed an accelerated MBA program which concluded in May 2015. My focus over the past six years with the company included, marketing, PR, sales, recruiting, brand development, event production and much more.

During that time frame, I was able to produce Super Bowl events with hosts ranging from Jim Carey to Kim Kardashian to Life Beyond Football events where I would bring 20 athletes to network with 8-10 businesses over a long weekend to prepare them for life after the game. After leaving the agency, I moved onto becoming the youngest NFL agent in the business and launch my own Marketing and PR firm, Revolving Mind Media. Our business focuses on helping grow business and brands in addition to working with a wide range of NFL athletes and Influencers.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The biggest struggle is finding the right clients to work with. If a client is hiring us, they need to trust that we are the experts in our field and allow us to take the reigns. In addition, we have hired our team based on being the experts in their specific field rather than just hiring an account manager and putting specific responsibilities on their plate which might not be their expertise. Both of these items have been obstacles to overcome since we launched our agency three years ago but we have since hit stride and have a great client base and an even better team at Revolving Mind Media.

Revolving Mind Media – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are a full-service marketing agency focused on working with business, brands and professional athletes. I look at our agency which is made up of 50% business/brands and 50% professional athletes/influencers. This business model has really helped set Revolving Mind Media up for success as we have been able to create partnerships between business and athletes which otherwise would have been very difficult to execute. Our agency has been built on taking care of our clients and helping them grow sales or their personal net worth. All of our clients so far have been referrals which has kept our client base feeling like a family at all times. I believe our strength on both sides of the business has helped propel us to the level we are at today. Our companies specialties range from Public Relations, Social Media Management, Strategic Partnerships, Website Development, and SEO/SEM.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success has building a business with happy employees and clients. In addition, I want to make sure my clients are growing their business or brand. Since the time I started in the apparel industry, I had a very strong focus on sales. I want to make sure if a client is paying me $100, I am bringing them in at least $300. That focus was instilled in me from my father at an early age and has stayed with me throughout my career.
