Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Lowes.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Adam. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
My brother Mark and I have worked together for many years in the coffee industry in our home city, Perth, Western Australia.
Spending time in Texas, and in particular, with our cousin here in Dallas, we felt as though it would be a great adventure to bring our style of coffee to Dallas.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been a fun journey. I think our goal of fast and fun espresso bar/grab and go coffee has confused some patrons, who are looking for more of the wifi “coffee shop” space to spend longer periods of time lounging and studying.
We know this is more the norm here in Dallas but we figured people would be happy to experience something different, and in general, we were right.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about LDU Coffee – what should we know?
We focus on fast, friendly, good value, premium grab and go coffee and delicious sandwiches and treats. Our Australian background keeps our menu short, and our Northern Italian style espresso keeps our drinks strong.
We like our customers of all ages to feel welcomed to their neighborhood coffee shop, we endeavor to remember our regulars by name.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Obviously, my brother Mark. We have built every concept together and worked alongside each other every day of the journey.
