Meet Allie Van Wagoner of Metroplex Social

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allie Van Wagoner.

The mission of Metroplex Social is to change lives while helping people to discover their own community.

After working with over 200 businesses and entrepreneurs, I quickly saw a need for local businesses to be able to compete with the bigger guys on a level playing field.

Accidental influencer, I began working with national and global brands over a decade ago after my online journal, aka web-log, was discovered. These brands wanted to collaborate with me because they saw the power of word-of-mouth and how social media and the internet could leverage the best referral source into WORLD-of-mouth. National and global brands typically have massive budgets that quite simply local businesses cannot compete with on the same scale. This leaves most local businesses at a severe disadvantage in the market.

I knew with my background in content and influencer marketing, I am able to leverage my knowledge, skills, and experience to help local businesses build meaningful relationships with those that live, work, and visit the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex — and ultimately change lives. Thus, Metroplex Social was born.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Entrepreneurship comes with its own unique challenges. My biggest struggles launching Metroplex Social have been centered around being a female business owner, education, and hiring the right talent.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Metroplex Social – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
We specialize in helping local businesses cultivate relationships through brand storytelling. We create connections and conversations between brands and people through our online publication, Metroplex Social, events, and other channels.

Because I have over a decade of experience in this ever-changing industry, I have become an active “practitioner” — which means that I am actively engaged in the day to day operations of Metroplex Social so we can quickly pivot strategies when necessary.

We offer PR solutions that combine influencer and content marketing strategies to businesses for a monthly investment that won’t break the bank.
