Meet Andre and Jennifer Williams of Remember The Covenant in Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andre and Jennifer Williams.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Andre and Jennifer. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
In 1997, we were married at a young age and quickly found it difficult to understand our roles as husband and wife. As the years went by, disagreements and challenges happened, children were born, and thus was the birth of our disconnect. We experienced hardships early on due to secrets, past hurts, frustrations, dysfunctional family issues which led to lack of communication, a sexless marriage, anger, rage and infidelity which almost led us to divorce. This repeated cycle went on for years. It wasn’t until we changed our environment and our relationship with Christ and found a thriving church home that believed in the sanctity of marriage called Koinonia Christian Church in Arlington, Texas in 2006. We both became disciples by our Pastor Dr. Ronnie and Nikki Goines and if it wasn’t for them our marriage would have ended. They saw something in both of us that we needed to see and experience for ourselves and later share with others. This was not an easy process for either of us. There were some sleepless nights, tears that were shed, confessions made, and forgiveness but also some real truths have to be revealed individually. It wasn’t until we both saw ourselves, our issues and were both willing to accept change and be made whole through Jesus Christ that we saw a change in our marriage. Due to this experience, God whispered to us to share our testimony with others which was the birth of our new marriage ministry called Remember The Covenant. A ministry founded to help educate, motivate and encourage couples in the understanding of God’s sovereign plan for marriage.

Has it been a smooth road?
No, it wasn’t. We endured past hurts, lack of acceptance, lack of understanding each other, learning to trust and love again, and learning how to have a Godly marriage.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Remember The Covenant – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We don’t consider ourselves as a business but rather handling God’s business through the form of ministry. We offer a open forum of dialogue by connecting couples for the purpose of cultivating marriages through our through our sessions of Covenant Conversations which are held monthly that teaches couples couples an array of topics such as: positive communication, the needs of men and women, sexual fulfillment, and the 4 P’s: Priority, Pursuit, Possession and Purity.

What sets us apart is even though infidelity could have costed us our marriage, we both owned our parts and knew with a shadow of a doubt that God truly was the glue that held us together.

Also, were Marriage Today certified along with Prepare/Enrich certified facilitators.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
We love that variety of career opportunities, school districts, and the array of social activities for married couples and date nights.

What we dislike is this Dallas traffic and confusing seasons of weather.
