Meet Bryttnee’ Knight of ZaP’d Beauty in Mesquite

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryttnee’ Knight.

Bryttnee, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Hair has always been a part of my life. I looked at hair as an art or a blank canvas there for creation. I first discovered my passion at the young age of 13. My mother was a hairstylist, and I would always be so intrigued with the process and final look. So, I began to dabble myself and then realized that God had gifted me with a talent to create “hair art.”

In 2015, I started my brand ZaP’d Beauty (named after daughters, Zariah and Paris). Not only did the name come from my daughters, but it also came from God. The way He has the power to transform, to create, and make anew, is kind of how I feel when I have my shears in my hand. And allowing God to use me to transform, create, or “ZaP” someone new in my clients.

Therefore, hair will always be a part of my life. As long as I’m able to create hair art, ZaP’d Beauty is here to stay. God has big plans for my business. And I’m going to continue to have faith and trust Him through the process.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s never easy when it comes to success. I remember when I first got started, I just knew things would be smooth. But I soon discovered that it’s extremely hard. I have slow periods during my business and it can get really rough. But I continue to stay consistent, even when it looks like things aren’t picking up. Nothing is easy worth having. When those days come when I want to quit, are the times when my faith is tested the most. But I continue to hold on to that small mustard seed. And as long as I still have faith that size, everything will be ok. And God has continued to show me that.

What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?
I’m a licensed hairstylist and I specialize in short cuts and color. I also work with clients who suffers from hair loss, that still wants to feel confident and beautiful.

As a company, I’m most proud of growth. ZaP’d Beauty has come a long way since 2015. And here I am in 2019 and business is continuing to manifest into greatness.

What sets me apart is uniqueness. No style/look is the same. I always find different ways to a style so that no one has the same look.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I would have taken more time and research before taking a large risk.

When I got started, I was so naive and ultimately it resulted in me taking risk that caused me to have a few setbacks. But you live and learn, and never give up.
