Meet Cedric Williams and Sajata Hale-Williams of Magnolia Residential Group at Keller Williams Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cedric Williams and Sajata Hale-Williams.

At Magnolia Residential Group at Keller Williams Realty, they live, love and sell Real Estate Around Fort Worth and enjoy providing one-on-one personal service to their clients. They are privileged to touch hundreds of potential clients and homeowners every year, literally opening doors to home ownership and they don’t take that opportunity for granted.

Cedric, co-owner and Chief Operations Officer of Magnolia Residential Group, is a Texas transplant that spent over 15 years working in Operations and Management with some of America’s Top Companies including The Container Store, Bank of America and Equifax. Having grown up in Magnolia, Mississippi, his childhood home inspires both the name of their Realty Group and the extraordinary Southern Hospitality they bring to their working relationships.

Sajata, co-owner, and Chief Marketing Officer, is an East Texas girl, native Texan and proud to be celebrating 10 years in real estate in 2018. As an award-winning PR and marketing professional, Sajata jumped into real estate with both feet, recognizing there was a need for degreed marketing specialists in the real estate industry, especially for sellers who were unable to get their home sold the first time they put it on the market!

So much of their story begins with the magic of how they met – as a 13 and 14 year old from two different states, on a trip to Disney World! The “magic of the meeting” has interwoven throughout their lives, their relationships and ultimately their real estate transactions. They’re always looking for ways to make their home buyers and home sellers feel special, magical and well taken care of.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
What a great question! Real estate is full of bumps and bruises, but the blessing in the journey is that more time than not, things end beautifully. Sometimes that means losing an offer on the only home you ever thought you’d love only to find that the one you end up purchasing is exactly where you needed to be all along.

Other times, things go rough on “the back end”, with a belligerent agent who enjoys knowing-it-all and doesn’t mind telling you all about it. In those cases, we’ve learned to listen first, listen well and keep listening. Inevitably, we hear grains of truth that pave the way to progress, solutions and often an even better deal for our buyer or seller than they anticipated. You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar!

Please tell us about Magnolia Residential Group at Keller Williams Realty.
At Magnolia Residential Group at KW, we specialize in residential real estate, but can also help our clients with property management and listing commercial properties. We specialize in helping homeowners sell their homes when other agents failed to get them sold.

Often, we’ll sell the home in less than 30 days and we’re pretty proud of the thrill that it brings to our sellers. We have a keen eye for excellence, a knack for what buyers are looking for (and it’s different in every price range!) and the discretion and diplomacy that buyers and sellers are looking for in their real estate transactions. We are aware that our presentation, marketing, tone, expression and even the power of pausing can cost our buyers and sellers thousands of dollars and EVERYTHING that matters to them, matters to us.

We are strategic in everything we do and we stand on the shoulders of the #1 Real Estate Franchise in the US, to boot! We couldn’t ask for anything more.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Hindsight is 20/20, isn’t it? If we had to start over, I think we would have emphasized and elevated the Commercial side of our business more, from the beginning. When working in corporate marketing, the president of Sajata’s Bank handed her the plans to the bank’s newest upcoming branch when the VP of Architectural Services unexpectedly retired, before the job began.

With no architectural expertise and little oversight, she pulled together a team of the bank’s executives, director, and general contractors to create a plan to move the build out forward, set the tone and marketing for the interior and space plan for the onsite employees. The experience was invaluable to her and after planning and executing the bank’s Grand Opening, we lifted a glass to utilize that experience in our future real estate efforts.

What we didn’t count on, was loving the personal touch and family stories that we would experience on the residential side. We don’t regret one second of the path we’ve chosen, but that’s certainly a side of the business that we intend to strengthen in the coming years.
