Meet Charline Orozco of Orozco Graphic Designs in Irving

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charline Orozco.

Charline, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started Orozco Graphic Designs in my college dorm. I wanted to find a way to work for myself, help people, and start my own company with $0 or a low-initial cost. I know I have always loved to help people, help them believe in their dreams, and encourage them to do those things they are afraid to do that can benefit them in the future. During this time of brainstorming a business idea, many of my college friends and acquaintances would tell me about their amazing ideas of starting their own companies. Some would tell me of their ideas to start a tutoring service company or beauty company etc. I wanted to help them make their dreams come alive by providing them quality and elegant graphic designs.

I decided to start a graphic designing company because I love the aesthetic side of creating designs and I saw myself constantly leaning towards creating websites, business cards, and inventing promotional products to help companies or individuals grow. Hence, the creation of Orozco Graphic Designs came to fruition. It started as a simple idea during 2019. I strive to create simple-quality designs for individuals, their brands, and their companies. while providing the necessary services to help their business or personal brand reach the next level.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a company, in my opinion, is never a smooth road. I believe you have to deal with a lot of internal and/or external conflicts. At least for me, I was doubtful if it would last, work, or if I could make it. However, through time, I didn’t want to continuously ponder on the idea of creating a business and have that burning desire.

I knew I did not want to live in regret of not starting a company. I told myself, I rather fail and learn, then not start the company at all. I wanted to do this for myself. I said, “I am not here to impress anyone”. I wanted to create a company that could help ambitious people start their own companies at a low price. I did not want to let fear, self-doubt, or opinions stop me.

I think it is important to note that not everyone is going to believe in your idea or business idea. I think that is why you have to learn how to believe in yourself first to build that courage to do things outside of your comfort zome.

I didn’t feel 100% supported by some people around me and I knew others would most likely ridicule me for trying to start my own company. That is why I chose to build the courage within; I told myself I will not leave this earth without leaving a positive mark. I cannot leave this earth without changing at least one life and it has to start with me. I made a decision to believe in myself. The result was Orozco Graphic Designs. It’s not a one-time thing, but an everyday decision.

We’d love to hear more about Orozco Graphic Designs.
Something I am most proud of Orozco Graphic Designs is the transparency I always strive to serve to the customers; I love treating customers like friends and family, helping them find solutions to their problems. I consider OGD more than a graphic designing company, but a haven where customers can run to for help with their company. I love providing the services and care to my clients. I enjoy seeing how it benefits their companies and brand.

I try to do my best to help clients navigate towards aesthetic appeals that are geared towards the company’s mission and purpose. I think that is what I am most proud of, OGD strives to focus on the purpose behind the decision. I think three things that set Orozco Graphic Designs apart from other companies is the (1) family-oriented focus, (2) simple-quality designs, and (3) global-efficiency perspective.

For me a family-oriented focus in a company encompasses transparency and authenticity. This is something I strive to display not only in my company but personal life. I love treating clients like family. I have always loved companies that treat me like a friend or family member, where it doesn’t get awkward talking to them. Though it is not always like that, I think it is important to aim for that purpose.

Simple-quality designs are my name. I have always preferred clean, efficient, and minimalist approaches to everything. I think keeping things easy helps my customers’ clients easily navigate to the main service or product my client strives to provide to their customers to help improve their life and/or efficiency.

Global-efficiency is what I call simpler living. I have always been inclined to make things as efficient and productive as possible. I know a lot of people, especially during these times, are always on the run or busy. To prevent loss of time for my customers, I strive to have samples ready and assessments to find the specific styles my client wants for their start-up company or current business/service. Depending on their preference, I usually send them via text or email.

Typically, I provide them short, unlimited, call/email sessions to discuss their vision and brand persona, from there I develop the specific product or service they seek to create or improve within their company. I believe the focus on (1) family, (2) simplistic quality, and (3) efficiency, sets Orozco Graphic Designs apart from many competitors.

What moment in your career do you look back and are most fond of?
I believe the proudest moments in my career was when I saw that my customers were amazed at the quality designs that I made for their companies. I love seeing my customers happy and proud of their new logos and websites. Making the decision to do something that is impactful, creating graphic designs, websites, logos, QR codes for my customers is another thing I am proud of. I strive every day to improve my work performance and quality. Every day I am proud and grateful that I get to serve my amazing customers and work with them to reach their business goals through the use of Orozco Graphic Designs.
