Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher James.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I am a writer, producer, and avid anime reader. Writing has always been my escape from personal issues ever since I was in grade school. I didn’t choose to actually pursue it professionally until I was leaving a job that drained me mentally and spiraled me into depression. Life has a funny way of presenting your blessings but leaving that job allowed me to clear my mind and focus on my first novel and give me the confidence to start writing scripts and producing original content via YouTube. Now I’m here currently submitting screenplays to competitions and trying to break into Hollywood.
Please tell us about your art.
So I’m a mixed bag of creativity. I write books, produce a YouTube show, write scripts, among other things. My ultimate goal is to bring my vivid imagination to the world and bring back the joy in being creative and unique. Everything I do is original and comes from me. I think some people get lost in trying to do what they know works instead of being themselves and making that work. I just want to show people you can be yourself and still make great art.
Do you have any advice for other artists? Any lessons you wished you learned earlier?
It’s ok to ask for help and guidance, never have to much pride or think you can do everything on your own. Because truthfully you can’t.
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
So I have a YouTube show I’m producing called a Barbers Life. I have an erotic audio series coming out via Spotify and SoundCloud titled Exotic Rose, and lastly, I’m working on a screenplay I’ve been promoting to different companies and competitions.
I almost forgot my first novel Memoirs of a Man is available on Amazon.
