Meet Demeshia (Jordan) Williams of Royal Torch in Euless

Today we’d like to introduce you to Demeshia (Jordan) Williams.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am better known as Jordan. I was born in Dallas, TX and raised in Los Angeles, California and now, I am back in Dallas, TX. I have wanted to be a Fashion Designer and Work in the Fashion Industry since I was a little girl. I used to design Jean Purses for all my friends in my apartment in LA. They would give me their old Jean’s and I would sew by hand and create, decorate, design their purses and customaries their purses with their names and favorite colors on it and Rhinestones all over it and they would pay me a couple of dollars. Then, the game changed when I got my first sewing machine. Then, I started making just about everything. Then, when I started to attend high school, I joined a group called “Club F.A.M.E.” which was a group for creative students who like Performing Arts, Music, Dance. This group made me who I am today. I got to be me in this group this was my creative outlet in school so I could be creative. And where I got my confidence to just be me. I started designing and creating all my clothes and fixing it to my liking. Some people loved it and some would laugh and say what is she wearing but I didn’t care I was confident and compatible in my own skin it did bother me one bit. Because I knew one day, I would own my own Clothing Line and Boutique. I just let them laugh. But I would tell those girls and people “One day, I am going to have my own clothing store and you won’t be able to afford anything in it” but I kept it cute then, I would just walk away and go on about my day.

So, as time went on, when it was time to graduate from high school, I decided to go to Fashion School and major in Fashion Design. I met so many students just like me that all they wanted to do was create and design. After graduating from Fashion School, I decided I wanted to create my own handmade Jewelry line. I started styling friends and making jewelry for everyone. As time went on, I decided to take a break from that for a while. And want on to do other things like becoming an early age school teacher. Every class and subject I taught from math to science, I always added art in the lesson plan along with that subject that I was teaching. The kids in my class loved and enjoyed learning because I made learning fun.

In the end, eventually, it all comes back to me my fire/flame was still hot to want to design and create. So, I did. I created an Online Boutique called Royal Torch Boutique. My motto is: “Every Woman’s Flame Burns Hot because every Woman is Royalty.” Also, Every Woman is Royalty. I even created Graphic T-Shirts with those saying. And some T-Shirts that just say “Royalty.” So now, I am Designing, Styling, and creating and that makes me happy. I am making a name for myself. I started joining alot of Networking groups for entrepreneurs attending Fashion Events and meeting some awesome artists, other designers, and boutique owners. I attend and have Pop-Up Shops in various places and attend trade shows to get inspiration. I network with other designers and other boutique owners and hear their stories on how they got started.

Now, I am living out my dreams now of having my Online Boutique and doing Pop-up Shops in my city. My dreams have always been in fashion, and to have my very own clothing line and clothing store and I know soon, very soon, I will have a Clothing Store. But for now, I will still keep designing and creating.

Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t always been easy it has been a journey. Life just seems so easy when we are children. Until life and bills happen. All I wanted to do is create and design. We just have to take all our struggles and problems and out weigh it with the good in our life. Yes, life can throw some curveballs at us but it’s up to us to not let it get the best of us. We are stronger and smarter than that.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Royal Torch Boutique is an online boutique that specializes in Women’s Apparel and Accessories. I do attend Pop-up Shops and set up my booth to showcase my boutique in various cities in Texas. I am known for my unique, hand-picked, one of a kind pieces. What sets me apart from others. I style and create an atmospheric of joy, peace, happiness, and beauty when you shop with me. I want everyone and every woman to feel not just beautiful on the outside, but also on the inside and that we all are Royalty. I want every woman to know that beauty started on the inside within ourselves, once we have confidence and feel beautiful on the inside, the clothing just adds the finishing touches to ourselves.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, I feel like our city is a great place for businesses like myself. But you can create and design anywhere in the world.

But the home is where the heart is.
And if this is your city, let your light shine.
Being creative goes with you, no matter where you are in the world. It’s in your heart and in your soul.
So shine on where ever you are.
