Today we’d like to introduce you to Emanuel Jefferies Jr.
Emanuel, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started shooting photos back in 2017 as a hobby. One of my good friends by the name of Kayland Partee, owner of Partee Photography, gave me some insight on the business side of photography and told me to give it a shot. After that, I started taking on small opportunities such as graduation photos, couples, and small events. Basically any opportunity I get to shoot, I’m jumping on it.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
So far it’s been pretty good. The only struggle I can think of is just shooting everyday. Like anyone who’s building something, consistency is key for progression. I also work full time so most days I’m not shooting and it’s slow progress for perfecting my craft. Other than that, I have no complaints.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about 80Mil Productions – what should we know?
I am a freelance photographer who runs a company called 80Mil Productions. I specialize in brand building, events/weddings, and personal photography. My natural eye for a great photo is common. I’m most known for the quality in my work and the details my work portrays.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
There are two guys who motivate me daily in this industry, Kayland Partee of Partee Photography and Keiron Bobb of FPK Photography. Both of these guys are good friends of mines and anytime I post my material, they’re giving great feedback. I always look forward to their feedback because it helps me grow in the aspects I need to.
