Meet Heath Hill of LIme Media in Rowlett

Today we’d like to introduce you to Heath Hill.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.

We started LIme Media in 2005 with a partner that I later bought out. We struggled for three years before God gave me a vision, my wife a dream, and a call from Moroch ad agency the following morning who controlled most of the McDonalds business at the time. All this happened within a 12-hour window. For the record, this is not normal communication for us, but we were broke and desperate. In that moment, we decided to refund everyone’s money, which left us with $3k to our name and wait on God to help re-shift our path. Our path had cost us over $500k with no leads to a good future. A few days later, I was meeting with the team at Moroch and 4 hours later, I landed my first six-figure deal with Gina Roach on behalf of Gina was a friend of Matt Powell who set the meeting at Moroch and he referred me to her that afternoon. Three months later, Moroch made their first six-figure buy for McDonald’s and since then, we have been the largest sampling company for McDonald’s in the county. I just can’t make this up, but that is how we really caught a gear and the rest is history.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

The road has been bumpy with several big roadblocks along the way like:

-Constant cash flow problems before I met my banker and mentor

-Theft by a partner than to be restored by 7x what she took

-C grade employees before I hired A-grade employees

-Getting the right external team in place (attorney, CPA, insurance, consultants)

-Working hard and grinding before we began to work smarter

-Lack of volume because experiential marketing caught a gear around social media which slowly leaked into our industry over the last ten years

Please tell us about LIme Media.

Lime Media is a hybrid Out-Of-Home advertising and experiential marketing services company that works with agencies to provide visually dynamic and immersive consumer engagement programs in a variety of locations and environments.

We own our equipment, which allows us to create short term (1-30 days) or long term (2-12 months) programs and launch them quickly (avg. 2-4 weeks).

We customize our existing fleet of assets in-house for each campaign, which keeps creative at a premium and the budget at a minimum.

We provide creative services, program management/execution and ROI reports.

Our programs geo-target consumers with strong brand messages and a specific call-to-action.

Our strength is the ability to reach consumers in multiple locations with a variety of effective tactics.

We focus on quick set-up times, rapid deployment and diverse activation sites within a market.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?

My favorite memory as a child is that my parents always loved me and always were there for me.
