Meet India Monee’ of The Journal Entry in Frisco

Today we’d like to introduce you to India Monee’.

Thanks for sharing your story with us India. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My story starts with my passion for storytelling as a child. Whether it’s writing, being on camera, or being on air, I’ve always been a media maven. I attended the best HBCU in the land, Prairie View A&M University and when I was there, I was able to explore, learn who I am, and what I want to do in the industry.

After graduating, I moved to the DMV area with my best friend and I was able to do so much growing there. I explored so much with myself and my career, I think it was the turning point in my life. There was so much struggle yet strength. While I was there, I for sure went through a lot of obstacles but I learned one of my passions. That’s where I birthed ‘The Journal Entry’! I found that people always gravitated toward me and felt comfortable enough with me to share their stories because I’m so open and honest with mine. It made me want to create a platform where I could motivate other people to be their best selves and push them to live out their dreams just as I am.

I’ve paired my passion for creating content with inspiring others to be their highest self to create the platform. The Journal Entry is a tribe that promotes exploring and discovering yourself on a self-improvement journey. I thrive on real connections and motivating people to live out their dreams so I feel that this platform can do that!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I think the biggest struggle I’ve had was within myself. I’ve had a lot of self-doubts because when you’re building something from scratch, it means so much to you. When you have a purpose and a passion, you want everyone to receive it well so you tend to want it to be perfect. The Journal Entry has a real message and I wanted to be clear on it. I wanted to make sure that his platform could inspire and help others beyond the surface level.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with The Journal Entry – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
The Journal Entry is a tribe that I created that promotes exploring and discovering yourself on a self-improvement journey. Its mission is to inspire and empower millennials to reach their full potential of being your highest self by educating through storytelling via a blog, podcast, and Instagram. The platform is dedicated to exploring and discovering the tools needed on a self-wellness journey. Its ride for meaningful conversations on self-discovery, inspiration, and motivation.

What sets The Journal Entry apart from other inspirational brands is that we focus on doing the hard work of self-discovery that starts within and working the way out. Self-improvement is an ugly journey and I understand that. Instead of just posting happy quotes, we want to work and build a community that can communicate about the journal prompts and other various tools we provide.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My big plan is to create an entire wellness shop and to get the items inside of stores like Wal-Mart and Target! The first plan is to start my own line of journals, of course! I’ve also thought of e-courses to teach people about how to be happy because it does take some education!
