Meet Josh Sandler of Gold Medal Pools in Frisco

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Sandler.

Josh, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My roots as a premier Texas swimming pool builder run deep. From as long as I can remember, I’ve been completely submerged in the industry. From working alongside crews at an early age to learning every phase of the construction process from the ground up, I’m extremely proud to carry on Gold Medal Pools tradition of excellence into the next generation with my family members. The practical hands-on experience I’ve gained in business combined with a degree from the University of Texas at Austin have provided me entrepreneurial and leadership skills necessary to grow the company and penetrate new markets (Commercial, Residential and Service). My family’s commitment to hard work and attention to detail are core values that define our company and inspire the work we do for our clients. I’m especially proud of our work on The Lazy River for Texas Rough Riders, Jerry Jones Star Trail, The Grove, and Omni Hotel, Frisco. I’m happily married to my wife Mary, who is the Vice President of Sales at Gold Medal Pools. When we’re not working, we’re busy raising our 2 children Chase and Mia.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Life is never a smooth road, however I have been very lucky to work alongside the most loyal, talented and dedicated people in the business. Gold Medal Pools managed to thrive during the great financial crisis of 2007-2008. It was during this time of great contraction in our marketplace that we managed to expand into new markets, support members of our local community and create the foundational items that have paved the way for our explosive growth today.

Please tell us about Gold Medal Pools.
If you look at the Frisco skyline, it’s easy to see the enormous construction boom that is taking place. Our company takes great pride in making a big splash on the ground by providing commercial and residential pool design and construction, maintenance and traditional construction for outdoor spaces. We are the official pool builder for the Frisco Rough Riders and one of the top pool builders in America right now. We’re proud to have built the Omni Hotel pool at Frisco Star, and nearly every master-planned community pool from Interstate 635 to the Oklahoma border.
