Hi Kristo, thank you so much for sitting down with us again. For folks who might have missed our initial interview, can you start by briefly introducing yourself?
My name is Kristo Blanc. I am a recording artist, producer, designer, creative director, artist developer and much more. I was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I’ve been making music and creating since I could formulate my own creative visions. My connection with music began in a small studio space at a very young age and I’ve loved music ever since I could remember.

Tell us about your recent single and about any of your current projects you’re working on?
My new single is titled “NUDE”. Recruiting MERCURY and King Mizzie for this track, I decided to speak on the pressure surrounding my lifestyle. Furthermore I wanted to present my own perspective while still providing a commonality for the everyday listener to sit back and vibe to, or turn up and ride to. “Mysterious, intense, spooky, fun and sensual.”

This song came together in a short amount of time and I was very impressed with the teams diligence to turnaround the record for release! I’m currently working on a few bodies of work – including H Town 2 Europe with Mercury, Solitary 2 by King Mizzie, DoMyThing2Much by Jack Moon and my first official album – TBD. Leading into the completion of that project – I will continue releasing singles, videos and merch until the project is complete.

How would you describe the music you make? What artists do you see yourself working with in the future?
The music I make is very personal, typically derived from aspects of my life and those around me. Philosophical you could say? Hahaha. Intention is an extremely important element to master as an artist and I want to ensure I’m setting those intentions with everything I create or invest my mind into.

Experimenting with sounds has always been a major player in my forever developing process. The music and stories I create derive from elements of R&B, Hip-Hop, Pop, New Jack Swing, Alternative, Jazz and Funk.

A few artists I see myself working with in the future include – Toro Y Moi, Arin Ray, Kid Cudi, Blood Orange, Kanye West, Phil Collins, Tricky, Wondagurl, Travis Scott, Snoh Aalegra, SIR, Rihanna, Charlie Wilson, Bryson Tiller, A$AP Rocky, 6lack, Justin Timberlake, Babyface, Janet Jackson, Teddy Riley, Syd and Jamiroquai – to name a few hahaha.

What are your plans for your brand and music within the next year?
My plans for Kristo Blanc and company within the next year include a tour, merch, videos, bundles, films and shorts, meet and greets and much more music. I plan to reach a larger audience by being more active and utilizing various partnerships along the way. Developing a team is an essential part of the process in the ever changing landscape of the business of music! I am here to secure the future and beat the odds!

Partnering with more artists and producers has allowed me the opportunity to re-develop my flow and given me a fresh perspective on the creative process. Opening the doors to collaborate with others has developed the brand and vision to a path of ever-evolving synchronicity that has began to benefit the entire community of representatives on my team.

Can you tell us a little more about the upcoming plans for Kristo Blanc, Demonslayer Records and your other creative endeavors?
With King Mizzie and Mercury joining the team, “NUDE” will be the first unofficial Demonslayer Records/Kobra Aura affiliate release. This track will also be a proper introduction to the frequent collaborators of King Mizzie and Mercury. I’m currently working as Mercury’s manager and artist developer – focusing on his brand/artistry. King Mizzie and I have a partnership as well, with me being his A&R/Creative Producer.

How do you manage different artists/producers while maintaining your own career/work?
Execution. Determination. Patience. Amongst these, there are qualities I look for in an artist before beginning development or partnering with them. An artist must know who they are, maintain a vision, set clear intentions, practice patience and function with a high work ethic. These essential processes allow me to pay specific attention to details surrounding an artists brand and repertoire – this is a big part of why I have found success. Most artists would like to simply – get in the studio and record, put out music and expect quick results for their brand to “blow up”. It sounds great, sure, but the reality is that the grind takes much more than making a song and it magically blowing up. Setting realistic expectations for what I do has benefited me in my personal growth – Ensuring I push the same ideologies onto my community has proven successful in further developing and structuring careers/brands.
