Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison Wolfe.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I have always considered myself to be a creative personal. I have always loved designing and finding new ways to be creative. After joining the corporate world after college, I was eager to find ways to express my creative side. I was always fascinated with calligraphy and hand lettering. One day, I decided to just teach myself. Since then, I have continued to fine-tune my lettering style. This has allowed me to start a side business of creating custom signs for weddings and events as well as offer addressing and labeling services. This has given me a great creative outlet to express myself with (plus I love being a part of people’s life events!).
Please tell us about your art.
I specialize in hand lettering and calligraphy. I love that this allows me to add personalized touches to people’s big events. I know that I love and appreciate the little details at events, and I am so happy I get to help do that for others. I really enjoy helping people “say it pretty”. I feel like it can really add a final touch to an ordinary event!
Given everything that is going on in the world today, do you think the role of artists has changed? How do local, national or international events and issues affect your art?
My art is more driven by the customer needs. I just try to put positivity into the world around me. With all that’s going on, I just hope a little encouragement goes a long way with my followers. I also try to find ways to give back with my work when it feels right (like during Hurricane Harvey relief last year).
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
You can view all current projects on my Instagram (@madWOLFEdesigns) or Facebook (madWOLFE Designs). I post new content regularly to keep people up to date on new projects. I also have items for sale on etsy (madWOFLEdesigns). I also have a website (www.madwolfedesigns.com) where you can request custom work and quotes. I would love to help personalize your next event!
