Meet Porsha Kimble of Your Cake Diva

Today we’d like to introduce you to Porsha Kimble.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Porsha. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
“Cake decorating literally saved my life!” I have been able to create a superior cake making home business by implementing the tactics I learned from my prior background in sales. I now travel the U.S. and internationally sharing my story and teaching other home bakers how to price, decorate and master the business aspect of running a home-based business. I speak on how to increase business and achieve much-needed work/life balance as an entrepreneur.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has had lots of construction along the way! From locations your teaching at not being as nice as you thought. Students taking the class and learning everything and asking for a refund after over minor issues they had, to being backstabbed to those in the industry.

Alright – so let’s talk business. What else should we know about your work?
I specialize in teaching people about branding their business, making their home business profitable and teaching hands-on cake decorating classes.

I am most proud of being able to expand on my business with cake.

What sets me apart is that I am transparent, blunt, a realist and honest.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memory is making homemade tortillas with my grandmother.
