Meet Regina Lanett Brown of RLB Consulting Service in Mesquite

Today we’d like to introduce you to Regina Lanett Brown.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Regina Lanett. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
First and foremost, I am a Christian, everything else I’ve become is an added blessing. I am a first-generation College Graduate, an Accountant, and an award-winning Educator of 18 years. My passion for teaching stemmed from my own needs and an embedded desire to make an impactful difference in the lives of other people. I started RLB Consulting Service to expose individuals outside of my classroom to some of the opportunities I share with my students. I educate, motivate, and empower people to find their purpose and to live in it! Today, I am a self-published author of my 1st book entitled Level Up. My book is an interactive vision planning devotional journal designed to help others devise a plan of action to discover their path to purpose. My role as an Empowerment Coach is to hold individuals accountable for the goals they set. Distraction and discouragement can hinder goal attainment, so I aspire to empower people to make progress day by day.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve learned, the road to success is always a winding path full of pot-holes, detours, and dead-ends. Throughout my academic career, I triumphed over academic probation, prejudices, and family tragedies. In my professional career, I managed to keep striving with a positive demeanor despite workplace adversity. The journey to entrepreneurship is a continuous classroom of trial and error. To this point, there’s a lot to learn about becoming a self-published author. I realize that experience is the best teacher. I have yet to reach my full potential. I know the best for me is on the other side of the next obstacle course. In which, I am prepared to conquer it by faith.

Please tell us about RLB Consulting Service.

I started hosting these events in my home with friends in 2015. I am proud to share that my 3rd public Vision Workshop will be January 4, 2020.

I am most proud of writing my book, Level Up, to inspire individuals to achieve their goals.

My faith sets RLB Consulting Service apart from other Consultants and Coaches. My walk of faith is how I live my life, and it is how I empower others to live their purpose on purpose. I sincerely desire to use my gifts and talents to help people discover theirs.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memory is when I started my first business at the age of 9. I started a household chore business to help the Senior Citizens in my neighborhood. I remember creating a checklist of chores with the cost. I charged more for my least favorite tasks, like mopping. I made several lists and passed them out to everyone. My older neighbors kept me busy. I remember realizing a need and creating a solution, much like today!
