Meet Tino and Krystal Gallardo of Rustic 9 Furniture in North West

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tino and Krystal Gallardo.

Tino and Krystal, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Hi! We are Tino and Krystal! We are the owners of Rustic 9 Furniture. Rustic nine was founded during a time where we had a huge desire to fill our home with furniture that was built with quality materials in the exact design we envisioned. Every furniture store we visited had a standard size for almost everything and was never what we were looking for. Our frustration grew, so we began building our own pieces!

Rustic 9 started as a small part-time side gig. Before we knew it, we were faced with the decision of going full time. Looking back, this was one of the most intimidating decisions that had to be made. So we went for it!

Each piece is unique, custom and hand made in our shop. Our clients pick and choose everything down to the style, dimensions, color, and wood species. We provide true quality, forever furniture for all types of homes and businesses.

Has it been a smooth road?
Like all small growing businesses, we have had our fair share of struggles. Wood has a mind of it’s own and sometimes decides to move and crack due to the Texas heat and humidity. We take every possible precaution from this happening.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Rustic 9 Furniture story. Tell us more about the business.
Rustic 9 Furniture builds unique, custom, and hand made furniture. Our specialty is the trestle dining table. It’s one of our most popular items. We build dining tables, coffee tables, hall trees, hutches, pedestals etc. All pedestals are built by us and are what sets us apart from others. The pedestals are the heart and soul of our pieces. Every project is new and exciting to build. We love seeing the finished product come to life in our clients home. We are proud to be a solution to many people across the U.S who are looking for a forever piece that truly stands out in their unique space.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Right now, It’s hard to say. We are always expecting trends to change, and are always on the lookout for what is new and different than what we have been creating so far.
