Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Rutigliano.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
For approximately six years, I had the privilege of heading up the Downtown Arlington Management Corporation. The DAMC is the organization tasked with the revitalization efforts in downtown Arlington. During my tenure, I had the pleasure of helping many people realize their dreams of starting a new business. This inspired me to consider starting my own. Approximately two years later, we are just a couple of weeks away from opening the doors at Urban Alchemy Coffee + Wine Bar! It’s been an amazing journey that wouldn’t have been possible without the support of so many people along the way.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road definitely hasn’t been smooth, but it’s been very rewarding and fulfilling. I learned fairly early that Plan B is an acceptable alternative. Expect the unexpected!
We’d love to hear more about your business.
We are a coffee and wine bar, and we specialize in building community. We will strive to be Arlington’s living room. A place where people will come together to celebrate, collaborate and build friendships. Our wine will be sourced from around the world, but we’ll make it very approachable and fun. We’ll make you feel at home whether you’re a wine aficionado or a novice. We are proud to be a part of the Arlington community, especially the downtown community.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I think Arlington is a great place to start a business!
