Today we’d like to introduce you to William Herron, Daniel Saltzman.
William, Daniel , can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I moved to Dallas in 2016 and met a guy named Richard in my neighborhood who had experience in wholesaling. We put a couple of properties under contract but had not closed a deal yet. Daniel reached out via Linked In and wanted to partner up. The three of us joining a coaching program called Talk to People (TTP) which taught us about cold calling motivated sellers. We immediately started having success and seeing a return on our investment.
Since then we joined a program called Real Empire and they started teaching us how to scale our wholesaling business. Richard has since moved on and formed a company with his wife and they are having much success. Daniel and I chose to stay together and we now run the company called Omnis Real Estate.
We have an office located in North Dallas, a team of cold callers in Jamaica who have really helped build the company. Also just building relationships with other wholesalers and Real Estate Agents has lead helped with our success because we partner on a lot of deals.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road has not been always smooth, we struggled using our own funds and had sacrifice nights and weekends. Our business had to take priority if we were to create a better lifestyle for ourselves and the people that we love. We had to make sacrifices and sometimes that was our personal relationships.
There were a couple of times when my car insurance got cancelled, my electricity got cut off once, I had to be a Uber driver outside my full-time job while building this business. My partner Daniel joked about almost being homeless but we keep each other encouraged and persisted on. It was probably the hardest thing that I’ve ever had to do in my life, I know I personally grew a lot through it.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Omnis Real Estate – what should we know?
We are a Real Estate Solutions Company and we solve our customer’s problems. We have two customers, the buyer, and the seller. Most sellers are in distressed situations and do not know how to get out of it. Our buyers know how to build homes and flip houses but most don’t know how to find the deal. We simply bring the two together and create a win-win-win situation.
We specialize in the buying and selling of Vacant Land, our reputation in the Dallas Fort Worth is the company to come to if you want to sell your unwanted land or buy some for your new construction needs.
I’m proud of our ability to always treat our customers how we would want to be treated. We make every decision based around our core values and so far we have built a trust with the community. This trust is no started to lead to a lot of referral marketing and it is really starting to take a life of its own.
We are set apart from others because our mentally of building long term relationships over short term gain. People want to be taken care of and leave the situation feeling like that is what happened. We pride our selves on that and our company reviews reflect.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I have to give credit to Mrs. Juli Pitra at www.julisellsdfw.com, she and I met at a networking event about two years ago. She saw that I was reading a book on and offered to mentor me. We spent a lot of late nights of her free time understanding the industry. She told me she did it because one day she believed that it would be an honor to have met me.
I also have to say my Dad and Sister, they believed in me when a lot of other people did not. When I told them about my vision, they supported and were some of the very few still standing by my side throughout my most challenging moments.
My Son & Daughter(s), they made a lot of sacrifices over the last few years and are still making sacrifices. It has been plenty of times that we could not do fun activites because funds had to support the business. They also spent a lot of time at home on beautiful days while I was out working.
All this helped out because I had Mrs. Juli who saw potential in me. I had Dad and Sister who supported and encouraged me. I had my kids as a reason to not give up because I had to show them what they were capable of as long as they kept going no matter what.
