Rising Stars: Meet Tyra George

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyra George.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey started in 2015. I lost my best friend unexpectedly and I fell into a deep depression. I was searching for answers and comfort from the church, my family and friends, but didn’t find it. I made the decision to heal myself. My main goal was to build a closer relationship to God and The Universe. I bought my first crystal that same year and went down a rabbit hole. I learned how journaling is essential for getting out the noise, saying no is the best Self-care and that you can rewrite your story. Five years later, Beautiful Weirdos is here. #weirdosdoitbetter

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s never a smooth road. I honestly take all my losses and find the lessons. The mindset I have will not allow me to say it’s been a struggle… more so an adventure and sometimes you want to give up. I’ve pushed through some of those times by focusing on my WHY. Why am I doing this? Who am I doing this for? That’s what keeps me going.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Beautiful Weirdos is a community welcoming everyone who has ever been labeled WEIRD or JUDGED for making the decision to connect with THEIR higher power. There is no traditional route when it comes to growth and spirituality. From this point on, stop comparing your path to others. Take a deep breath, light incense or sage and prepare for an adventure! 🤪🤪🤪🤪 I’m Tyra George, your Creator, Contributor, Crystal Enthusiast, Intuitive Homie and Spiritual Plug here to assist you with walking IN purpose and ON purpose!

I offer tools such as healing stones and crystals, tips on how to release the noise of negative self-talk through journaling, insight and advice based on my personal experiences via my Weirdo Wednesday Lives. 💫💫💫💫 My mission is to help you: ✅ Tap into YOUR personal power! ✅ Embrace ALL THINGS that are unique to you! ✅ OWN your story and then REWRITE THAT SHIT! 📓📚📓📚 If you want to be a part of a nonjudgmental, all-inclusive community of people who are free and encouraged to speak THEIR peace, hit that follow button and let’s hold each other accountable!! 🤝🏽 We are beautiful for believing in ourselves and knowing that we are powerful! We are weird because we choose to explore our inner weirdo and connect with our higher self! 🦄🦄🦄🦄

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I have a superpower of making people feel comfortable. Creating an environment of peace and ease. This allows someone to speak freely and be receptive to the feedback. Also, I’m transparent about my experiences. It’s nice to know you’re not alone in certain situations.
