Conversations with the Inspiring Bethany Vera

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bethany Vera.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started simply as a blogger who was sharing life experiences, beauty favorites, and lessons God was teaching me. As I got married, I began to share more about our relationship and our love story. Soon after, I got married, I found out I was expecting our first child. Blogging then became more about motherhood, parenting, and of course, our marriage and what God was teaching us through all of it.

La Vida Vera was born. On our blog, we talk about everything that has to do with our lives. The Vera life. A simple hobby has turned into an outlet to share and inspire others with our lives while also, preserving memories for us as a family.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The world of blogging is saturated with all different types of writers. Mommy bloggers, in particular, have blossomed over the past couple of years. However, everyone has a story and every story is so specific to their family. I don’t see the over saturation in the blogging world as a bad thing.

My advice for anyone wanting to start a blog is to do it! Find a free web service to start writing your life adventures and see where it takes you!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into La Vida Vera story. Tell us more about the business.
As a blogger, what sets me apart from other bloggers is what God is doing specifically with my life and the life of my family. We choose to focus on marriage, parenting, and motherhood specifically on our blog and find joy sharing about these next experiences that we are walking through.

Our brand is known for vulnerability and authenticity. We keep things real and choose to do that because we find that so many online platforms only show highlights. And while highlights are great and make for a perfect aesthetic, life is more than just highlights.

For good reason, society often focuses more on the problems rather than the opportunities that exist, because the problems need to be solved. However, we’d probably also benefit from looking for and recognizing the opportunities that women are better positioned to capitalize on. Have you discovered such opportunities?
I feel that there is no better time than the present to be a woman. I feel right now, there are challenges that everyone faces and it’s not just specific to women. But with hard work, and a voice that is determined to be heard the opportunities are endless!

A woman can do anything she chooses to put her mind, heart, and talent into.
