Today we’d like to introduce you to Hope “Pinkky” Sanders.
Hope “Pinkky,” let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have created the brand LaPinkky to market my video production. Currently, I have a youtube podcast show ” LaPinkky the Show,” I direct that entails interviews from young business entrepreneurs who are continuously grinding and growing. My goal is to spread the Pink hair across many screens everywhere. I hope to impact the people around me by giving them a platform they usually would not have to get their message across and spread their hustle. I am a creative director and strive to uphold a personal motto of “never doing the same thing twice.” Originality and creativity are two principals I certainly live by.
For the future, I have no limitations or specifics on where or what I will be doing because I refuse to put boundaries on the things I can do because I know I can do anything I put my mind to, I do know for sure that I will be directing films, shows, and productions wherever I am!
Has it been a smooth road?
Smooth road? That’s a great joke. Starting your own business is a challenging journey, but creating your business and your brand at the same time is most definitely complex. Being a woman in today’s society is hard enough when it comes to self-image, so when starting your brand that is based off your self-image, it is difficult. Nothing is impossible, which is what I would tell anyone who is starting their own business from scratch. Expect the bumps so when you encounter them, it’s not a surprise, and that will cut down on your recovery time. Notice I said recovery time because trust me you’re going to have breakdowns and freakouts, and that’s normal.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the LaPinkky story. Tell us more about the business.
I currently have a youtube podcast show. I am a photographer and videographer, I have directed a documentary and creatively directed numerous music videos for local artists. I have hosted event nights at nightclubs. I am most proud of the videos I have directed so far and had the opportunity to work with. I am set apart from others because I do not duplicate things I see I strive to never repeat something, even if you saw something similar it will never be %100 the same. My ideas of creativity never stop flowing.
Who do you look up to? How have they inspired you?
Cardi B has been an inspiration to me recently with my LaPinkky movement, as well as the Kardashians. I love Cardi B’s story and her passion to not stop as well as the Kardashians work ethic and business structures. Inspiration comes in different shapes and sizes and categories, and each has affected me and pushed me many times when I needed it.
