Today we’d like to introduce you to LaByron Thomas.
LaByron, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I got started in media doing journalism videos on humanitarian operations while serving in the United States Navy. After service and being Honorably Discharged. I continued my media endeavors in Los Angeles. Where I worked on various projects involving financing, marketing, and distribution. Gaining a lot of experience with mentors. I wanted to focus more on Global Community Media Development. Creating media in the United States that the world can see and understand. By becoming a part of World Changers Entertainment, Inc. as a Producer/Media Personality, I’m able to continue that goal, tv shows and helping nonprofits and small businesses in the Dallas Community.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been challenging as far as business development goes. I provided services such as Media Consulting, Video Production, and Community Events, with the goal in mind to enhance the mission or purpose of the organization.
Every obstacle has been an opportunity to learn from to help make the industry a little better. I am also a member of several resourceful groups such as Veterans in Media & Entertainment, Dallas Producers Association, and Non-Profit Leadership Alliance. All of which are very helpful when it comes to dealing with industry challenges.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the World Changers Entertainment story. Tell us more about it.
I work with World Changers Entertainment, Inc. I run the Dallas Division as a Producer. Performing Services that include Media Consulting, Video Production, and Organizing Community Events. I’m known for being an Impact Producer, my military and Hollywood skill set allows me to collaborate with others and work towards enchaining the mission statement. What I really enjoy about World Changers Entertainment, is our focus on helping others and creating meaningful media content that people of all walks of life and ages can enjoy.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Early on in the Entertainment & Media Industry, being out of the military I used to things being done a certain way a unified work ethnic by one unit. I quickly learned that is not the case outside that military structure. Through a few failed projects or a certain situation, I walked away from and learned about different ways of media operation structure. By making necessary adjustments and knowing the team members better, I was able to work more successfully during the completion on a production.
