We are best friends that met at work 12 years ago. Over the years, we have discussed many business ideas… some good and some not so good. When we came across this opportunity, it made sense to us, as we both love children, party planning and everything that goes along with it. Our business name is synonymous with our relationship. We are BFFs and want every child and adult to have their very own BFF even if it’s a Beary Fluffy Friend.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Our biggest challenge has been getting started and feeling overwhelmed with the amount of work that it takes to run a business while being a working mom.
Beary Fluffy Friends – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are a plush animal mobile stuffing company. We use a portable stuffing machine, known as the Fluffanator, to bring each plush animal to life. We provide a creative way for children and adults to celebrate birthday parties or other special occasions. We also have innovative fundraising opportunities for schools where we donate up to 20% of sales back to the school.
In addition, we provide hands-on team building opportunities that allow teams to hand stuff and outfit a plush animal to give to a local charity or school or keep for a loved one. We also have voice recorders that can add an extra special touch to your new BFF. We are known for giving children and adults their very own BFF.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
We define success by the impact we make and the experiences that we create for each individual. We believe success is also defined by our ability to continue operations.
