Meet Monica Wyatt of HOORAY! It’s Your Day! in Fort Worth

Thanks for sharing your story with us Monica. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
HOORAY! came about through my love of planning, hosting, and celebrating just about any occasion. I’m passionate about planning and executing a creative and well thought out event in which no detail is spared. I have always wanted to own my business and I truly feel there’s no better business adventure to embark on than one that combines your top interests and hones in our your skill set.

Once I determined the direction I wanted to take with my business I immediately began researching branding companies and found Nicole Ellis, with Branding By Nicole, and the rest is history!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building a business is no easy task; it requires long hours, funding and continually brainstorming new ideas to stay current and appeal to your audience. I have learned the most by hands-on experiences and trial and error.

I make it a point to meet other business entrepreneurs and ask them as many questions about their road to success; however, it’s also been beneficial to learn from the struggles they’ve experienced along the way and how they conquered those. Every conversation is a learning opportunity, sparks ideas, and motivates me to continue on my entrepreneurial journey.

Lastly, building a strategic plan and surrounding yourself with the right team is a critical step that cannot be ignored. I am fortunate to work with some talented local individuals that helped make my vision a reality. Engaging the right team that understands your audience and the brand you want to create is a key component to the success of your business.  

HOORAY! It’s Your Day! – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
HOORAY! It’s Your Day! is a yard sign company that adds a personalized element to any event or celebration. Whether it’s a birthday party, baby announcement, wedding shower, holiday party, community event, the options are endless – HOORAY! is here to help make our clients day extra special. Our slogan is “Throw confetti, pop a cork and celebrate all of life’s occasions with a fun yard sign-because it’s your day!”

HOORAY! takes great pride in helping our clients celebrate their special occasion in a memorable way. In my eyes, this isn’t just a sign, HOORAY! elevates a celebration or life milestone to the next level through personalization, contributes to memory making, and in many instances serves as an element of surprise to the sign recipient. And let’s not forget – it serves as a great photo op too!

One thing I’m most proud of is our sign designs, which come from my own personal vision and understanding of our audience. My designer takes my ideas and helps them come to life. I feel what sets HOORAY! apart from competition is our uniqueness – one of a kind sign designs that can be used for a variety of celebrations, working directly with clients to create a personalized message for their sign, and leaving behind a surprise bag of confetti for each sign recipient at the time of delivery – it’s one additional touch that seems so small but really brings a lot of joy to my clients and has become a signature mark of HOORAY!.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
HOORAY! is a fairly new business, but my proudest moment so far has been seeing the first printed sign. I started tearing up with excitement knowing the idea I had sketched out on paper was truly becoming a reality! Through my business I also really enjoy giving back the community and working with non-profits within the Fort Worth area to celebrate their milestones and events. 

Although this business has fulfilled so much for me personally and professionally, my clients are simply the BEST and the photos I get of them with their signs will never get old – it’s what keeps me going!
