Today we’d like to introduce you to Ali Agha.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Ali. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
I was born to two Pakistani immigrants, as a first generation American, in Pennsylvania. My father passed away when I was very young and as a result, I was raised by my single mother. My mother decided she was not going to be a victim with two kids at home. She went on to become a successful doctor and entrepreneur.
Growing up, I never seemed to fit the mold. In school, my dyslexia hampered me from excelling in the traditional academic environment. Socially, I was shy and lacked confidence(typical of males who grow up without father figures). I was just different. These experiences defined my path in life early on. It was clear I was not made for the cookie cutter 9-5 corporate life. I was a born entrepreneur.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not a single part of the journey has been “easy”. The road has been filled with struggles and challenges every step of the way… from growing up as an awkward kid from a single parent immigrant home, startups that failed, realizing personal attributes that needed to change, etc. Looking back, these struggles were 100% necessary for me to be successful now.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Olypsis Technologies story. Tell us more about the business.
Olypsis Technologies is an innovative research and development company specializing in the fields of trustless systems and distributed ledger technology. Our goal at Olypsis is to empower people and businesses through the application of trustless, decentralized technologies. We work with companies of all sizes, from startups to Fortune 500s. Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I was lucky to have a great family and to catch a break with long-term, key clients that accelerated the growth of Olypsis from the very beginning. You need some level of luck to be a entrepreneur. Hopefully, I had just enough.
