Meet Aaron Deaton of Clean Ridez Auto Accessories in Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Deaton.

Aaron, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve worked on cars all my life. My first job was working at a tire store. Through the years, I worked at a number of auto parts and accessory shops. I’d buy cars on the side, fix them up, and turn them for a profit. It wasn’t long before people were telling me to open my own shop. I thought about it for a long time. I finally took the big step in 2013, and opened Clean Ridez Auto Accessories. Since then, we have customized countless Jeeps, trucks and cars to fit the vision our customers have.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I don’t think any small business owner would say their road has been smooth. The obstacles that I faced are the same that they all face. Money, location, advertising……personnel. Our first location was too small, so we moved to a bigger building. But, it was in a bad location, so we finally settled on a space in North Richland Hills. We have a loyal customer base that followed us along the way. That’s certainly helped.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We are a vehicle accessory shop. We offer a wide range of products to help customers customize their vehicles. Our specialty is with suspension modifications, such as lifts and drops. We pride ourselves not only on the quality of our installations, but also on follow-up service down the road. Making sure that our customers feel safe in their vehicles is extremely important to us.

What were you like growing up?
I grew up in a great neighborhood. Most of the kids I grew up with, are still my friends today. My house had a pool in the backyard, so it was a natural hang out for everyone. We’d spend our summers in the pool, and the rest of the year playing baseball and other games out front. As we got older, cars started finding their way into the driveway. We have tried to carry that sense of friendship and community into our business. Our customers are just more friends, hanging out in the driveway.
