Shana, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always been into beauty and glamor since I was a little girl, I’ve always known I wanted to have a career that included bright lights, beauty and fame and whatever else that entailed. I love makeup, I absolutely love makeup, fewer lipsticks and anything with brows. I actually didn’t start my passion until I moved to Dallas, TX from San Antonio, TX. I started my passion for beauty at The Tint School of Cosmology and Makeup in Irving, TX. While attending my passion for Makeup only grew. But my main focus was doing eyebrow, something about a good brow can set the whole face off. I started a new job and I took a break for a while from my esthetics to stack and save. The world of Esthetics has grown so much from when I was in school, thanks to the growth of social media. There’s so much you can do other than makeup and facials. I will also soon be certified in microblading (microblading is a tattooing technique in which a small handheld tool made of several tiny needles is used to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin.) I personalize in brows and eyelash extensions. We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I think the only struggle would have been getting up every day for a class which was full time and only being able to work part-time while I was attending esthetics schooling. I wanted to give up so many times but I finished and I’m glad I did. Sometimes, you have to do certain things you don’t want to do, to get to where you want to be.

I specialize in brows and eyelashes extensions. I’m certified in each. I’ve always been known for my brows and how “perfect” people say they look. When it comes to work, I’m a perfectionist! If I don’t like, I will continue to work until I do. I aim to please and make sure I’m doing exactly what my clients like and are wanting.
What’s the most important piece of advice you could give to a young woman just starting her career?
It’s hard, lol. Nothing comes easy in this world, you HAVE to work for it. You’ll want to give up, may even think that you’re not good enough, you’ll often question in this even my passion, are you really as good as you feel you are. You’ll forever want the true opinions from others of your work. But don’t ever let any of these questions cross your mind and discourage you. You put positivity into the universe, you’ll get nothing but positivity back. And if you don’t believe in yourself and what you can do, how are you going to expect others to?
