Today we’d like to introduce you to Gary Goodman.
Gary, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always loved antique and classic cars. I grew up working on cars with my dad in the garage. 15 years ago I bought a 1955 Chevy Belair from my dad. This is a car we started working on when I was a kid. We used the car in my daughter’s wedding two years ago. Everyone loved the car and started asking me if I rent it out for weddings or events. The idea was planted and I started to rent my classic car via word of mouth. It was so much fun doing weddings and special events. People really connect with a classic car and enjoy the true art a classic car brings to any occasion. We have expanded to two vehicles and currently on the hunt for number three.
Has it been a smooth road?
For the most part, it has been a smooth journey. As with anything, there are a few bumps in the road and I always take it as a lesson to be learned and move forward. Most people think of a limo service for special events so getting people to think broader to consider a classic car can be a challenge. But once they see photos or ride in one and all eyes are on them, it quickly makes them a firm believer.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the NWA Classic Car Rental story. Tell us more about the business.
I specialize in classic car limo service for all types of events. A lot of people use my cars for weddings, but we also do proms, photo, and video shoots, movie props, special date night or anniversaries, business promotion, etc. We hand wash and detail the cars the day of the event and deliver the highest quality chauffeur driver to make the day special. There is nothing quite like arriving in a classic car shinny with paint and chrome. The experience is unique and sets you apart from all the standard black SUVs or sedans out there.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I don’t think there will be any big shifts in the industry but I do see the level of service as being key to success and something that makes one company stand out over another. One trend I have noticed in other areas is classic car guided tours to view Christmas lights, Winery tours, Fall foliage tours, etc. This is something I am looking into adding later this year.

- Each additional hour after the first is $100
