Meet Ray Sturdivant of Mining the Truth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ray Sturdivant.

Ray, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Mining the Truth is an inner healing/deliverance prayer ministry. I was in the creative field of Advertising for over 35 years, and the last three years of my career, I was leading prayer ministry at night and weekends in addition to my day job in Advertising. It was at this time that I was asked by the Lord to go full-time in ministry, and I left my career.

I then founded Mining the Truth. I am passionate about leading others into intimate encounters with Jesus. These transformational encounters, break the chains of bondage and lead others into true spiritual freedom and intimacy with Jesus. The heart of the ministry, beyond freedom and healing, is activating others to hear the voice of God and step fully into their true destiny, call, and gifting.

I am a former elder, and frequently travel to speak, minister, and train others how to minister healing, freedom, and deliverance on an international level.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been amazingly smooth. The Lord promised me that I would never have to worry about money and that has been the case. He told me that I only would get to keep what I give away.

That is the principal we are founded on and do not charge for our prayer sessions which are two hours long. Neither do we charge for our trainings that we hold multiple times a year. We tell everyone we live by donations, and God has really taken care of us.

Mining the Truth – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We lead 2-hour prayer sessions that bring healing, deliverance, and freedom to those we pray with. We have seen miracles almost on a daily basis. We had seen lots of physical healings, lots of spiritual freedom and many who walk out their spiritual gifts and destinies that they were unaware of before they met with us.

I have seen bi-polar, and schizophrenia healed right in front of me. I have seen PTSD healed right in front of me. I have seen Reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome healed right in front of me. I have seen Dissociative Identity Disorder integrate right in front of me. We are known for leading others into intimate encounters with Jesus.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Anytime we facilitate an intimate encounter with Jesus we are successful. Anytime we train someone else to lead the people they are praying with into an intimate encounter with Jesus we are successful. The healing and freedom we see are direct results of those intimate encounters.
