Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariangelis Pagán.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
My love for art and photography started way back in my childhood years. One Christmas I was gifted DSi with a couple of games. Instead of playing games I thought that taking pictures was much more fun. I went as far as taking editorial photos of my barbies and even a fashion shoot of my dressed up dog. I took my DSi everywhere. I have always had a love for capturing moments through drawing and pictures. Even through a hard childhood, I found joy from anything creative.
Please tell us about your art.
I use art to show how I see the world. In both my artwork and my photography I try to tell a story and evoke a mood. I am very inspired by the fashion, music, and the overall feeling of the early decades. Everyone sees the world differently, and everyone should capture what they feel.
Choosing a creative or artistic path comes with many financial challenges. Any advice for those struggling to focus on their artwork due to financial concerns?
An artist can create with anything in hand or their pocket. A lack of money shouldn’t prevent anyone from finding happiness through art. Work with what you have, by heart, and everything will be fine.
