So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
We wanted a fun, fresh, local place for those in the Denton area to eat and drink! We have a huge patio that stretches along the lake, and the view from the inside looks through a glass wall across Denton’s Unicorn Lake. We have an exciting menu, daily specials, and over around 50 beers on tap! We want to offer a great place for Denton to bring a family, watch the game, or hang out at the bar.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
We opened quickly, which has been a challenge. There was a previous restaurant here with a different feel and different clientele, so attracting a new clientele is an obstacle we are overcoming! So far, our guests are enjoying the relaxing atmosphere, fresh menu, and family friendly (and pet friendly!) environment.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Lakeside Craft Kitchen – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are proud to be the go-to place for a great meal and a great time in Denton. We want to provide an atmosphere for an intimate date, a family dinner, or a casual lunch. We have so many options for dining, like our huge patio, private room, booths and tables, bar with bar stool seating or table seating (slightly separate from the main dining area), and semi-private dining. As an owner, I want to be super-responsive to the wants and needs of our guests, and have the ability to implement what is needed to satisfy and accommodate our guests. We want to maintain an exciting, fresh menu and drink selection, offering local and other popular craft beers, favorite wines, and fun, crafted cocktails!
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are still growing and learning and focusing on becoming Denton’s best restaurant!
