Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean Whitmore.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Sean. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
After graduating in 2011, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I always had a problem with structured learning at a collegiate level but loved the aspect of learning what I felt was interesting and valuable.
Fast forward a year or two in time and a failed attempt at college I found myself watching Tomorrowland videos and feeling awestruck at the quality of video they were producing and bam I knew I needed to learn how to shoot and edit like them.
Some years later, now sitting as a business partner at Arcpoint Studios I have used my time in the music festival world to help clients be at the forefront of awesome video to represent and grow their brand. We wouldn’t be here without our team, however, and I am so grateful to have all of us together working toward a common goal.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wish it was a smooth road, but as every entrepreneur dives into new aspects of life, it is anything but easy. Not only conquering doubts from family and friends but overcoming yourself has been the hardest part. I wouldn’t have it any other way though.
Getting to wake up every day and dictate my own destiny is a dream within itself. Some struggles I have had to overcome have been obviously making a living and finding your voice at this line of work in a digital age where everyone is after the same goal of creating content for clientele.
Along with finding voice and making money, overcoming mental barriers have been the hardest part for me and believing in the craft of what I want to put out in the world and what I want to achieve in this life, slowly but surely though I have broken those down and gained confidence along the way.
Please tell us about Arcpoint Studios.
Arcpoint Studios is a fresh new company that specializes in event coverage and brand identity. We are essentially known for exceptional customer experience, being genuine and cultivating our client’s message and putting it into video form with little direction.
We are most proud of being people, people and extending friendships out of our client work. We also pride ourselves in making our client dollar stretch as far as it can as we are a startup as well and know just how valuable a dollar is.
I would say our efficiency sets us apart and our approach to over communication so that not only our team is on the same page, but our clients are there every step of the way as well. Oh! And of course, our team is the bomb.com. 🙂
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Ahhh childhood, I would say my favorite memory from childhood is playing hockey through the first part of college years.
It taught me so many lessons that I use today in a business like focus, self-discipline, teamwork, how to carry myself, self-reliance and urgency.
