Meet Trailblazer Celest Domenick Flores

Today we’d like to introduce you to Celest Domenick Flores.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Celest Domenick. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started making YouTube videos in 2008! I started making videos with my best friend and we covered LGBTQ Topics on our channel, today I have two more channels! One with my fiancee in which we discuss our day to day lives and then my channel in which I discuss my personal life journey. My main focus was finding my biological family and through YouTube, I was able to find them. Now, I vlog my fitness journey as well as different videos for adoptees who are also on their adoption journey trying to find their biological families today. Just to give them some tips and encouragement.

Now, I do YouTube full time. We have five channels between myself, my fiancee, and my best friend.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was definitely not a smooth road. With everyone who is pursuing their dreams, they will face many challenges. Some of my struggles were having to work from 9-5 and having to come home to work again 8 to faint is what I like to call it. I had a hard time trying to get things done with family, daily routines things like going to the gym. I felt like time was my biggest issue.

My advice for women who are just starting would be to create a goal and stick to it. Make sure your goal has an end date so you can track your progress. Stay consistent through it all. Once you get started, doors begin to open up. The first step to take is to JUMP. You have to actually start in order to get to where you’re going. It may be rough in the beginning, but there isn’t anything you haven’t overcome right? And if you haven’t overcome you are working through it right now. Just keep pushing through. At some point, it will all line up and by the time you know it, you will be pursuing your dreams on a full-time basis.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I make YouTube videos.

On my main channel called Studology101; with my best friend (Diamond Murphy is her name), we focus on LGBTQ topics. We are known for doing LGBTQ topics and focusing on LGBTQ issues. Started our channel in 2008 http://Youtube.com/Studology101.

On my channel with my fiancee (Called Nick & Lez) her name is Leslie. We focus on our day to day lives. Currently, we do vlogs. Our main focus is to showcase that it is possible to have a functional LGBT relationship without drama and be able to raise a family without the dysfunction we see online. We show our health and fitness journey as well.

On my personal channel called (NahItsNick) which I just started a year ago, it is all about my personal life. I was adopted at birth and I decided to find my biological family and show my journey on YouTube. People are VERY interested in my adoption journey because my story is very unique. My biological mother ended up living 5 minutes away from me, and I have two biological brothers, in which all of us have the same father! 2 of us went up for adoption and we have been VERY close since we have all reunited. I also post fitness vlogs on my personal channel.

What sets me apart is the fact that I put myself in the most vulnerable position to be able to inspire people on YouTube. People want to see the real you, so you will see REAL when you come to my channel.

Which women have inspired you in your life?
In my life, my number one inspiration would have to be my adopted mother. She was my WHY for everything. She passed away in 2015. She was also an entrepreneur and wasn’t afraid to step out on faith. She always kept me in a hustle mentality and believed in me.

My next inspiration would have to be my biological mother. Although I have only known her for a year, I can see where I get my desire from. She has taught me to be more compassionate and understanding. Also, how sometimes you have to make sacrifices in order to get to where you are going.

Another woman would have to be my mentor Jayla Baxter out of Los Angeles, California. She was our mentor from about 2010-2016 and she really inspired me by being who she is. She isn’t afraid to go after any dream that she has. She has gone into other avenues now, but when I first met her, she was rescuing teen prostitutes for a living. Getting young women off the streets and helping them start new lives. My biggest goal is to help as many people as possible even if it only being able to inspire them through video. I want to touch and change lives as she does.
