Today we’d like to introduce you to Cindy Twedt.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Cindy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up in a small town called Ottawa, Kansas and when I turned 18 years old, I moved to Texas. I originally moved to start touring with a band, playing keyboard and piano. On May 2, 1988, I started the Entourage Model and Talent Agency. I was very young and very eager and passionate about the modeling and acting industry. I wanted to build a top agency in Texas and represent all ages and ethnic backgrounds.
The first year Entourage landed a large commercial for Walmart, they were picking five people, Entourage sent six people and they auditioned around 200 people throughout Texas. We landed four out of the five people, and we only sent six! The rest is history! LOL! I have always been very ambitious since a young child. I had a poster in my bedroom that was right in front of my bed that said if you can imagine it you can achieve it, if you can dream it you can become it, a quote from William Arthur ward, so I literally took those words to heart and started Entourage at about the same time others were heading off to college. My dad was a college professor for 20 years and I could’ve gone to college for free, but instead, I started Entourage.
On May 2 this year, we will be celebrating 31 years of being in business! What a huge blessing! I wake up every day thanking the Lord for blessing me with this Business, and giving our Talent such great favor in an industry where there’s so much competition! Entourage has several locations. Texas is the main location, and there’s a division in Los Angeles. We are hoping for an international expansion to London in the future. This industry is not something somebody can do as a full-time job; it’s strictly part-time. However, a lot of the jobs pay so well that you may work one day doing a modeling or acting job and it could be equivalent to a week or more of work in the regular working world! This is a really fun industry to be in, and I’m sure I will be doing it for many more years to come! People that are not in the industry don’t realize all the awesome huge jobs that are actually filmed in Texas, including national Television Commercials, Feature Films, Television Series and large Print Ad campaigns.
For those people interested in pursuing modeling or acting career, Dallas is probably the most fashion-oriented city in Texas. Austin is where most of the films and television series are shot, Houston has the Academy sports shoots, and San Antonio has its fair amount of projects produced there as well. Entourage also offers a modeling and acting summer camp for anyone between the ages of 8 through 18 years old, both boys and girls. No previous experiences necessary, it’s available to anyone whether they’re listed with an agency or not. We are all about giving the campers a positive camp experience. We equip and empower them with the proper and professional information, and train them for moving forward in the modeling and acting industry. Here at Entourage, we are like a large family. It’s all about team work!
Has it been a smooth road?
It’s been a wonderful journey thus far for Entourage. We had some growing pains along the way, but those growing pains lead to our business expansion to multiple cities! What a blessing! We feel extremely blessed that our road has been a smooth one, and we have lots of amazing Talent on contract with us.

Entourage Model & Talent Agency was established in 1988 and is a full-service Modeling and Acting Agency based in Texas and California. We represent talent between the ages of 1 year – senior citizens. Talent gets placed in areas such as TV Commercials, Magazines, and Billboards, Fashion Shows, Hair Shows, Films & Movies, TV Series, Promotional Modeling, Spokesmodels, Voice-Talent for Radio, Industrial, & Cartoons, Music Videos, Trade shows and Conventions. We represent a multitude of models and actors, various ethnic backgrounds, bilingual talent, deaf talent, as well as some singers, dancers, musicians, and performers. We have been told that we have the strongest “baby division” in the state of Texas and have landed many wonderful jobs for our babies and toddlers, including the front cover of Texas monthly magazine, Osh Kosh, and Baby GAP, to name a few.
Entourage also has a Modeling and Acting Summer Camp that is held during the summer between June/July. It’s a spend-the-night camp and is filled with workshops and training classes, as well as a professional portfolio photoshoot and super fun free-time activities! All kids and teenagers are invited who are between the ages of 8-18 years old. They do not have to be with an Agency and no previous experience is required! Is our city a good place to do what you do?
If someone wanted to start a business in Dallas for modeling or acting it’s a good city to give it a go! Dallas probably is the most “fashion” oriented city in Texas!
