Thanks for sharing your story with us Tatiana. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
As an advocate for healthcare, I’ve always cared about the health of our community. Our family returned to DFW to assist my mother after suffering a stroke in 2012. It was at that time, I realized the need to educate the community on preventative health measures through nutrition and physical fitness. It was my desire to educate as many people that would listen by forming the FB group, “Team FIT!” This social media platform was open to anyone that was seeking motivation on their journey to healthier living. There, I offered training, nutrition advice, and motivation.
My passion to help others on their quest to better health coupled with our knowledge of juicing has turned into a progressively needs-based innovative juice company, that both men and women are desperately seeking to aide in a healthier lifestyle.
I started this business out of desperation from the 2019 government furlough. As an air traffic controller, my husband has an essential job and had to work without pay during that time. It was my job to make sure he wouldn’t worry how he was going to feed the family, no one should have to deal with that type of anguish.
The vision came from sharing my reset journey on social media. During this time, I did a 10-day health reset, consisting of juicing for three days, followed by seven days of raw vegan eating. Through sharing my progress and story, people would ask how much I’d charge to make juice for them. That’s when the business idea was sparked and Tye’s Juice Bar came to life.
Has it been a smooth road?
If we’re calling sleep deprivation smooth-sailing, then it has been!
My “9-to-5” is actually an overnight shift and tackling that, along with sorting, preparing and packing orders can be taxing on the body. It is also extremely time-consuming to make store runs, and communicate with a growing client list. Some days, I literally operate on just two to three hours of sleep. I also have to balance in time with my family as well.
In order to balance it all, I had to relinquish my “if I want it done right, I have to do it myself” attitude and count on the team of family and friends that I have and who are invested in our success. It absolutely has been a challenge, but I rely on my faith and move forward, believing that God has and continues to prepare me for this journey. Every obstacle is a learning opportunity.
Any advice for other women, particularly young women who are just starting their journey?
My best advice to future female business owners is to create a system that works for you, your family and your needs. People see the “glam” of it all, but operating a business is work – with a capital W! But iron sharpens iron, so surround yourself with other business owners and feed off of one another. Focus on where you’re going and not where you are. Struggles will come, but do not let that deter you. Grow through what you go through so you can apply those lessons in a positive way.

The foundation of Tyes’ Juice Bar is our “3 Days of Discipline” detox juice. The juices consist of organic vegetable and fruit juices with no additives or artificial flavorings.
My husband and I started our “juicing journey” more than seven years ago to improve our overall health. Through trial and error, we discovered the optimum mixture of fruit and vegetables that gave the best results. Not only for weight loss but clearer skin, decreased appetite, more energy and a kickoff to a healthier lifestyle.
Many of our clients have tried juice fasts before, but have shared that they did not get the results they were after until they tried our juice. Through the power of social media, we’ve been able to service clients locally and out-of-state. It brings us so much joy to have repeat customers and to share in their amazing success stories.
The difference between our company and others is we provide our clients with the education they need to be successful during and after the detox. We encourage and motivate, which has led our clients to achieve great results.
So much of the media coverage is focused on the challenges facing women today, but what about the opportunities? Do you feel there are any opportunities that women are particularly well positioned for?
I fight harder when my back is against the wall and that spirit comes from my mother.
I witnessed her, a single mom of three, making a way out of no way. I’ve admired her strength my entire life and her struggles and sacrifices taught me the unnatural strength you gain once you become a mother. She shows me that roses can grow from concrete.
As a woman, I can say we have an innate strength to provide and protect our families. Therefore, we are naturally positioned to lead and nurture. If you have a vision or desire you want to birth, believe that you CAN and go for it!
