Hair has always been a passion of mine. I have worked for corporate companies and somehow I continued to be pulled back into the industry. Through it, all my clients from as far back as beauty school have been with me on this walk every step of the way. 13 years later and I pride myself on being a trusted stylist.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Smooth?Not at all. I have had days to where I didn’t know how ends were going to meet if booth rent would get paid, as well as if I was even cut out for this. However, I am blessed to have a support system of family, business owners and friends that won’t let me quit, doubt myself, and most importantly call me on my faults. Whether they know it or not I wholeheartedly appreciate them for it.

Shearly Styled by Chan core specialties are grounded in establishing and maintaining healthy hair alongside with precision cuts, color, weaving, and my amazing silk press experience your hair will thank you. I believe what sets me apart from other amazing stylists in the Dallas area is my attention to detail, the relationships I build with my clients, and when nothing else seems to matter my work ethic will speak volumes for me.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Yes. My supporters! It’s hard to speak on them without getting emotional. My parents Claudia and Marvin, grandparents Lawrence and Mary Jackson, My uncle Laron Tryon, high school friends (you know who you are), friends that I have met along my journey of finding me, my Blaze family, Meeka H., but most importantly my two beautiful daughters Carrington and Chayse. They are my entire reason for ANYTHING I do. I now know that although I often advise them to watch their step…I ultimately understand that I must watch my step because they are following behind me. I love them so much.
