Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazmine Riley.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve always had a passion for creating things. I’ve dibbled and dabbled in almost every business you can think of that allows you to be creative and come up with your own ideas. Photography just was one of those things that stuck with me.
Has it been a smooth road?
It’s been a pretty smooth journey. I’ve made mistakes, plenty of them, but I’ve learned from those and things just keep getting better.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I’m an avid freestyle photographer. I don’t particularly specialize in any “one” type. Naturally, I am good with change and can adapt to many situations. Although there are several different types of photography that all require different settings, lenses, and personal knowledge of the craft, however, I’d invite a challenge any day.
I must say, however, my favorite type of Photography is Family Portraits. Time flies so fast, children grow right before our own eyes. I really enjoy stopping time for a moment and capturing those special times.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
There are soooooo many photographers in Dallas. I’ve met so many great other photogs. It’s sometimes hard getting the type of business a person might desire if they plan to go into Photography full time. If someone was just starting out, I would just tell them to don’t stop. There are times that you might feel overwhelmed or like it’s a waste of time, but it’s not. People will see your passion for what you do. They will support you. You will begin with a few customers here and there. Then those customers will tell others. And the others will tell more.
