Meet Alex White of Lost In Culture in DFW

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex White.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Alex. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
It’s always been easy for me to start and keep a conversation with anyone. I always find joy in making people laugh while also making people feel “at home” just by being myself. I’m a big believer in selflessness. Anything I can do to help, I’m all for.

I started listening to podcast about two years ago in 2017 and fell in love with the dynamic of podcasting. My daily motivation would come from starting my morning off listening to an inspirational message from whatever podcast I would listen to at the moment. One day, I had this crazy thought that I could give other people this same feeling of encouragement, but doing it my way.

My vision was so clear. With so many amazing growing businesses, creatives, and stories in DFW, I wanted to create a platform where people can be themselves publicly and share their levels of success and show that no matter where you come from or what you been through, your voice can be heard just like mine! These thoughts turned into prayers and when the doors opened, it only made sense to use the tools that had been presented to me. I literally thought “just do it, Alex.”

Has it been a smooth road?
It’s been tougher than expected. Getting used being 100% transparent is still a challenge for me and some days life just happens and everything seems like an obstacle. I have so many ideas and think about ways to improve all day every day but working a 9-5, some things & ideas have to be put on hold. But when you are doing something you love, the good always outweighs the bad. Meeting new people, supporting DFW, and just getting behind the mic makes it all worth it. I love the adrenaline before recording, the laughs and lessons during, and the new/stronger relationships after each episode. I’m blessed for it all.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Lost In Culture story. Tell us more about it.
Lost In Culture Podcast is the platform to be yourself publicly. I wanted this to be a place where creatives of any background can come on and talk about where they were, where they are, and where they are going, while also keeping up with the latest content. Not only that, but giving people with a voice somewhere they can trust and be comfortable behind a mic and their stories can be held with the utmost integrity. I think a lot of people in my generation are afraid to just go after what they want and don’t experience life enough to find their purpose. I’m looking forward to Lost In Culture changing that by bringing these creatives on and motivating others with the same goals or vision to go out there and do what you love to do. One of my favorite questions about starting a business is “if money did not exist, would you still be doing this?” Absolutely.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
5-10years? Man. I would love to be heard all over the nation and be that platform where all inspirations can come and have a good time. There are so many people from all over the world with a story to be told that will help the next person and if I can get the opportunity to connect with just a small percentage of this world, then I know the marathon will continue. I would love to be able to travel around and collaborate with as many growing entrepreneurs as God allows.
