Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrian Zuniga.
Adrian, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve always had a passion for drawing cartoons, but until a couple of years back, I knew that I wanted to turn this passion of mine into a business and become an entrepreneur. I began offering my cartooning services and selling my work online. I even opened up my own caricature shop to no avail. After trial and error, I knew that if I wanted better results, I had to take bigger risks. I took part in our family savings and invested into what is now my first sublimation and heat press equipment to turn my caricatures into an actual product, custom coffee mugs. I was surprised at how quickly the business picked up thanks to friends, family, and previous costumers. Today, I am glad to say that my business is steadily growing, and I plan on continuing to improve my artwork, and better serve my costumers.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I think that for me, as a 27-year-old man with a wife and two kids, my biggest struggle has been finding a balance between family time, my day job, and my cartooning business.
Please tell us more about your business, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
My business is drawing caricatures. I specialize in transferring my digital caricatures in customized coffee mugs. When I’m working on a caricature, my main goal is to bring a smile to costumers and making this a memorable gift.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plan for the future is to continue growing my business, coming up with new products and services, and eventually get to a point where I will be hiring and working with other artists and entrepreneurs.
