Jacqueline, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I grew up in a family of scratch bakers. My mother baked desserts as her way of showing gratitude and appreciation whether it was for a church social or a weeknight dinner, so naturally, I was bitten by the baking bug. Baking is a way of relaxation, so it came as second nature.
Has it been a smooth road?
Anything that is worth having is never easy. You will always have to deal with criticism from non-believers. Let the negative be your motivation and continue to push forward.

Sweet Fantasy Cupcake is an online bakery that specializes in homemade, gourmet cupcakes. We are known for our unique flavor combinations. I am the owner and head baker. We are more than just a cupcake company, we are a comforting memory that brings you back to a time spent with friends and family. We are not a dessert fad. We are old school goodness, made with whole ingredients and well-loved recipes with a twist.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Dallas is evolving every day and a great place for a startup. There are so many avenues you can turn to for guidance and assistance when considering opening a small business. There have been major changes to already established businesses and room made for up and coming businesses. Besides, there is always room for dessert!
