Today we’d like to introduce you to Fharren Mason.
Fharren, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always wanted a career in fashion, but it wasn’t until I had to put my dreams on hold for my two sons, that I made the decision to get back to ‘me’. During that time of retreat, I felt lost because I was “stuck” working solely to provide and was in and out of college because that’s what we’re “supposed to do”. I was unhappy. Not being able to give my boys my all because of it.
So, I went back to my faith. In short, God allowed me to realize my gift and talent and that it is bigger than me. February 2018, I leaped! I started to advertise and put myself out there as a personal stylist. I had a couple of clients right off, but I knew there was more for me and much more room to grow so I started to attend free webinars online, research other stylists in the fashion industry, and taking courses to expand my knowledge (I still do).
Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road, more so humbling. I’d have to say the hardest thing sometimes is to NOT doubt myself or my faith when things aren’t moving as fast as I think they should or when I feel like giving up. Staying faithful, persistent, and consistent are all very important for me and my brand.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Infinite Styles By Fharren story. Tell us more about the business.
Infinite Styles By Fharren works with clients that need assistance with personal styling. I specialize in styling in many forms: Personal styling, personal shopping, and closet hauls with consignment options. I’m known for creating chic, curve flattering, trend forward looks. I created Infinite Styles By Fharren to be able to help women find their inner confidence by discovering more about themselves, love themselves and demand their worth through fashion. I want to reach women who aren’t afraid to be seen but need help getting there with their wardrobe or busy moms and businesswomen who don’t have time, or are into fashion, but can’t quite get the formula down.
I’m most proud of my resilience. For not being a product of my environment. For chasing my dreams and believing in myself and my gift and knowing that there’s a purpose for it all.
Being able to see things in different ways sets me apart from others. Hence Infinite Styles By Fharren. “Let me help you find INFINITE ways to style”.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
For the personal stylist industry in the next 5-10 years, I see more exposure and confidence in individuals understanding the benefits of personal styling and shopping and the willingness to trust those knowledgable of their fashion goals.
