Makeda, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have friends and constantly heard how they wanted affordable hair extensions that had quality. So, I went on ahead and put my plan into action.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Running a business has its bumps in the road it’s never easy. But as long as you’re organized you’ll get the job done. Had one struggle and that was the school it was kind of getting in my way because I had class assignments that needed to be done and took away from business planning.
I eventually graduated and now it’s out the way. There’s also the struggle of being a single mom. I put my son before myself a lot as parents should.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Glam Bam Extensions – what should we know?
Glam Bam Extensions is my hair extension business. I offer affordable hair at a great quality for women of all ages fit for the queens that we are. I am gearing myself into wig making, and offer mink lashes.
What sets me apart is most people are in this business for the money, I’m in it to make my customers feel happy knowing that they’re getting great customer service and great hair that lasts.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Treat customers how you would want to be treated. They’re looking for great service and I plan on giving it to them.
