Today we’d like to introduce you to Dave214_ of C.O.Z.Y Choice.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Man, where do I start? Well, growing up, I didn’t have a clue what I wanted out of life. I was fighting & being the class clown and always thought it was cool. I was this short dude with shag and a lot of swag at Desoto freshman campus. Jiggin, sco’ing on people and missing class. I literally ended up failing 9th grade and that’s when I knew it was time to focus on the things that matter. At a young age, I knew a lot of people and really thought of ways I can enter the entrepreneurial field. One day, my senior year, I put together a nice mansion pool party. It was on this huge social media blog saycheese tv and went viral. A lot of people wanted me to become a promoter and throw parties. Which I eventually did but I had a bigger vision. I wanted a franchise, I saw P Diddy started off promoting to get his face, name, and org in the industry. So, I did just that. Threw parties and worked my way up to concerts and hosting huge events.
So, here I Am Dave214_, this promoter with all these people looking at me like what’s next. So, I wanted to build a huge entrepreneurial platform and start an org full of self-made individuals that reflect and show great examples to the youth. I found a word that was exotic but could Reflect on the youth. C.O.Z.Y. – Confident Original Zealous Young. My brother Dondre always told me I would be the reason we all make it. I have a brother named Kyle who dream was to become an artist. And with me doing research on how to become a CEO of a brand with serval branches. Then, staying yo all night researching on how to manage an artist. I told him I’ll manage him and start our music branch of COZY. (CozyChoice Records) With me, still hosting events and being in school it takes a lotta work managing and being a CEO of an org that’s growing. But I will do whatever it takes to get my org worldwide and have the youth reflect on being Confident Original Zealous Young. I like to say we’re the next big franchise to go worldwide.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. In this business, you deal with a lot of fake love. People aren’t really genuine and people will use you till they can’t get anything out of you anymore. Then, when you’re in a city where when somebody thinks you’re doing better than them, they go from wanting to see you win to not want you to succeed at all. It’s really messed up, to the say the least.

C.O.Z.Y. Choice is an elite entrepreneur org, a brand that specializes in Event Coordinating, Graphic Designing, Marketing, Social Night Life, Music & Hair Cosmetics. We also have student-athletes that represent our Org. We’re here to impact the Youth, COZY, Plan B is to make Plan A work!
COZY is most known entertainment wise. Some of the hottest promoters, hottest upcoming music artist and one of the best celebrity barbers in Dallas. We have huge athletes that are D1 in serval sports. 10k cash and D smooth are some of the biggest entertainers out of Dallas and I’m beyond grateful that they are apart of my Org.
San+Ana blowing up. Erica Banks signing to TopOFF. 10k blew up and signed to DefJam records and when MJ – cozy cuts became a celebrity barber. It’s not one NFL/NBA player that’s in Dallas that don’t hit him up for a hair cut. They make me so proud. Don’t sleep on Tre ward either, he’s had music on the radio & is close to being a breakout artist. Shhhhh.
What set COZY apart from everyone else is the organic morals and example that is set. I keep a strict guideline on how everyone apart of the org should carry themselves. It was all God’s plan, the way these things worked out. It’s bittersweet.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is when the youth can look up to you and use what you got going or things you do for yourself and the community as motivation. Success is fulfilling your purpose here on this earth and being someone people can look up to. Success to me isn’t always about the amount of money you made but the lives you changed on this journey to be successful. It’s consistent. Not a 15 min. of fame type of thing.
