Dario, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve always aspired to be a rapper and songwriter. I guess I could say I started taking rapping seriously in high school. The writing was something that just came naturally to me. I’ve always carried around a notebook no matter where I went. I would write raps in there and perform them for my sister. I could think all the way back to elementary school I’d win poetry contests and talent shows.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Has this been a smooth road? No, it has not. A few things I struggled with was actually taking the time to record music on a consistent basis, accepting that I had to flourish as an individual artist, and just truly believing in myself and not waiting for others to push me.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My brother DaMarcus and I did a talent show for an after-school program. LOL, it was so short. We had to be at least nine or ten years old. We tried to perform this song by Master P called “Make em say uhh” haha! EPIC FAIL.
