Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Ayala.
Ashley, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Ever since a young girl, I have always said I wanted to open up my own beauty salon and be a cosmetologist. When I was 15, I told my mom I wanted to learn how to do makeup and make it a career.
Thankfully, she let me experiment with makeup and my love for makeup grew. I quickly changed my mind from owning a beauty salon to having my own makeup studio. I have worked in the food industry and financial industry and also attended a university, but my heart just wasn’t in it. I knew this wasn’t where I belonged and after applying for jobs such as Ulta and Sephora and not getting a call back I knew I had to make my dreams of being in the beauty industry a reality. One day something told me “start a lash company” and I took that sign and ran with it. That same day I chose a name that I wanted my brand to be known for and represent me as a person and from there Eunoia Lashes was born.
Eunoia (you noy uh) means having a well mind or thinking beautifully.
Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. I am starting from a very small social media following and we all know how powerful social media is in this day and age. Sometimes, I go days without a sale and other days I make a great amount of sales. Although, there are times where I want to give up because I feel like my brand isn’t growing I am grateful enough to have supporters who constantly DM me with positive and uplifting messages. The amount of support I get is overwhelming and my supporters are what give me motivation to keep going. I love them and beyond thankful for them.

Eunoia lashes is a cruelty-free and vegan luxurious faux mink eyelash company. I am most proud of the small milestones I have accomplished. I launched my brand April 2019 and in these two and a half months I have branched out of the DFW area and into three different states. I believe my customer service and the appreciation I show towards my customers is what sets me apart. I personally handwrite a thank you letter with each order that I receive. I believe showing your customers gratitude can make a huge difference. Without them, I wouldn’t be here right now and I am forever grateful.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success as exceeding my expectations and continuously growing mentally and within my business. My criteria is simply fulfilling each of my goals one by one and setting higher expectations for myself to achieve. I believe the only way you become successful is by getting out of your comfort zone and pushing yourself to be better everyday.
